The Plantation is located in Millwood, Georgia.

HUNTING WITH THE ENTIRE FAMILY AND PARENT/CHILD HUNTS ARE ENCOURAGED AT THE GOPHER PLANTATION.

The main lodge is of log construction that utilized materials and methods common in the late 1800's. This is a show place of antique furniture and accessories, yet it is accented with the touch of a hunting lodge. A huge fireplace is nestled in a 1000 sq. ft. great room. Lodging, dining, and entertaining are provided in this spacious relic of the past.

Gopher Plantation complex is a museum of a typical South Georgia farm as existed around the turn of the century. Outbuildings include a log corn crib, log smokehouse, syrup boiler, mule drawn cane mill, hog-scalding boiler and two (2) - hole outhouse. Many pieces of mule drawn farm equipment are displayed around the area.

Although the atmosphere makes one feel like an early settler in Wiregrass Country, all the facilities have modern conveniences and comfortable accommodations. 

This log cabin was constructed in 1870.  It has two bedrooms and one bathroom.

Although, the main lodge and all of the cabins are equipped with modern plumbing, this authentic outhouse stands as a reminder of days gone by.  This is an example of the meticulous attention to detail which is present throughout the Gopher Plantation.
