Whitetail Deer Hunting (including meals and lodging)
All Hunts: A valid Georgia Hunting license must be provided by the hunter. Gopher Plantation personnel can assist in the purchase of hunting license on request. Request for assistance should be made at the same time of reservation. No hunting without valid license. No refunds due to invalid license.

Season: Archery, Sept. 13, 2008 thru Jan. 15, 2009.
Black Powder/Muzzle Loader, Oct. 11, 2008 thru Oct. 17, 2008.
Firearms, Oct. 18, 2008 thru Jan. 15, 2009.
Quality Deer Management Parameters
8 point buck or better with 14-inch minimum inside spread.
Harvest 1 Buck per day maximum
Doe--One for each two days hunting. All legal hunting days are doe days for the 2006-2007 Season.
Pricing:
$475.00/day thru Dec. 3
$425.00/day from Dec. 4 - Jan. 15
$275.00/half-day thru Dec. 3
$240.00/half-day Dec. 4 - Jan. 15
Any buck harvested with less than 8 points or doe harvested outside parameters noted above - $600.00/each
Any 8 point buck harvested with less than 14 inch inside spread - $600.00/each
Wounded deer - up to the discretion of Plantation Management and may be treated as a harvested deer.
Prices noted for Whitetail Deer includes a 7% sales tax and $50.00 per day guide fee.
Combination Hunts
For any three (3) consecutive days of hunting booked at The Gopher Plantation, one hundred dollars ($100.00) may be deducted from the accumulative total price if at least one day is boar hunting.

Some example combinations are noted below:
a) 2-day deer hunt = $950.00 + 1-day boar hunt; (100 - 149 pounds) $350.00 - $100.00 = $ 1,200.00
b) 1-day deer hunt - $475.00 + 1-day quail hunt = $375.00 + 1-day boar hunt (100 - 149 pounds) $350.00 - $100.00 = $ 1,100.00
c) 1-day deer hunt $475.00; 1-day boar hunt (100 - 149 pounds) $350.00; 1-day boar hunt (150 to 249 pounds) $400.00 - $100.00 = $ 1,125.00
Lodging & meals for non-hunters with a hunting party = $95.00/day
Prices noted for Whitetail Deer and combo hunts includes a 7% sales tax and appropriate guide fee.

Whitetail Deer - Policy
A guide will transport the hunter to his stand. For safety reasons, the hunter is expected to stay in his stand, barring nature calls, until the guide returns. No scouting is allowed, unless accompanied by a guide. The quoted price includes an early morning hunt of approximately 3 1/2 hours and an evening hunt of approximately 3 1/2 hours. Half day hunts for either morning or evening hunts can be booked. Game may be taken with any legal rifle, muzzle loader, bow, or handgun.
Lodging and meals for non-hunters accompanying deer hunters is $95.00/day.
Check-in---Whitetail Deer and Turkey Gobbler Hunt
Optional: Arrive Noon or later to start afternoon hunt or arrive after 4:00 p.m. for hunt next morning.
No noon meal provided on day of mid-day check-in. No evening meal provided with check-in after 4:00 p.m. Meals can be provided for $15.00 per person on day of check-in if noted at time reservation is made. Continental Breakfast is provided prior to early morning hunt. After the early morning hunt a Southern Home-Style Breakfast is served. Snacks are provided prior to the afternoon hunt. The Evening Feast, after the hunt, consists of Southern farm-hand type foods with a touch of the wild. Unusual game dishes are a part of the Gopher Plantation experience.
A rifle range is also provided to zero-in scopes and pattern shotguns at no charge.
